YUMI would like to thank all the individuals, groups and organisations – and there are many - who are giving much needed and very welcome support. Without them, the project simply could not exist!

CYC has been informed of this project from the outset, and has been very supportive throughout. In particular, YUMI has been in regular discussion with the Learning, Culture and Children's Dept. and Equalities Dept., providing updates and reports and meeting with councillors and key figures.. It is CYC which has also funded the design of this website.

CYC has a vision for the future of York, and has developed a series of strategic plans to ensure that these are able to happen.. It is therefore working with a large number of local groups and organisations, and it is important that YUMI fits in with and works alongside these local plans.

ODEF (Oasis Development Education Foundation)

ODEF is the charitable foundation associated with The Oasis School of Human Relations. The purpose of ODEF is to seek out and respond, in the form of consultancy and mentoring, to people and organisations who focus on issues affecting active citizenship. ODEF is committed to using a Whole Person Learning approach.

YUMI's connection to ODEF goes back several years, to three year's training undertaken by the Project Coordinator, and to the understanding and relevance of their approach to the YUMI project. YUMI is indebted to ODEF for its ongoing support.
